The very notion of the second is the seat of fear.

Krishna Speaks of the SECOND

Listen, dear ones—
you who chant My name with trembling faith,
you who fear loss, death, loneliness,
the world’s cruel turning—

I tell you a secret the Upanishads sang
long before you were born:

The very notion of the second
is the birthplace of fear.

When you see Me as separate—
above you, beyond you, outside you—
your devotion still holds a thread of trembling.

You love Me,
but you fear My absence.
You trust Me,
but you dread My silence.
You pray to Me,
but you fear I may not answer.

This is not wrong—
it is just incomplete.

For when the mind imagines two—
you and Me,
self and world,
devotee and God
fear stands beside devotion
as a silent shadow.

Arjuna, this is why I revealed
My cosmic form—
not to frighten,
but to show you there is no “other.”

If all forms are My body,
if all hearts are My pulse,
if all beings rest in Me as waves in the sea—
tell Me, beloved,
what is left to fear?

You are afraid
only because you think
you stand apart from the Infinite.

But behold—
you and I are not two pilgrims
meeting on a sacred road.
You are the road.
You are the traveler.
You are the destination.
And I am the space in which all three appear.

When you say “Krishna, protect me,”
I smile with love—
for the prayer is beautiful,
but incomplete.

The deeper truth is:
There is nothing outside Me
to protect you from.
There is nothing outside You
that can be harmed.

The body trembles, yes—
for the body knows division.
But the Self…
the Self is My own flame,
untouched by wind or time.

So worship if you must—
with song, with flowers, with tears—
but gradually let your love ripen
into recognition.

The highest bhakti
is not fear of losing Me—
it is seeing Me everywhere,
as everything,
as the only One.

Then devotion becomes freedom.
Then love becomes fearlessness.
Then you understand the truth
no scripture can improve:

Where there is two, fear is born.
Where there is One,
only peace remains.

Come, sit near.
Lay down every separation.
Look into My eyes
as into a still lake.

There is no second reflection there.
Only yourself,
only the One—remembering your own infinite face-

There is no second
