A Conversation on World Meditation Day
A Conversation on World Meditation Day
Between Buddha and Brinda
Buddha:
Dear Brinda, seeker with a noble cause,
You teach young minds, shaping hearts without pause.
Tell me, what drives your mission so bright,
In a world of distractions, where few seek the light?
Brinda:
O Buddha, your wisdom echoes through time,
In this age of rush, it feels like a climb.
We teach the children in villages afar,
To read, to dream, to reach for the stars.
Yet I wonder, amidst this relentless pace,
How to nurture stillness in the human race?
How do we teach them, while building their skill,
To calm their minds, their spirits to fill?
Buddha:
Brinda, your work is a path most pure,
Teaching knowledge and compassion—both will endure.
But know this truth: no skill is complete,
Without stillness of mind, where wisdom meets.
The world lures them with desires vast,
Yet happiness lies not in what’s amassed.
Teach them to pause, to breathe, to see,
The treasure within—the key to be free.
Brinda:
But Buddha, they hunger for more each day,
The world demands, and they obey.
How do I teach them to balance and find,
A quiet strength, a peaceful mind?
Buddha:
Plant in them seeds of meditation’s art,
A moment of silence, a mindful start.
Teach them the power of observing thought,
That freedom is not in what’s bought.
Show them joy in a simple deed,
A life fulfilled not by want, but by need.
Guide them to love, to give, to share,
To see the divine in all, everywhere.
Brinda:
O Buddha, your words, so gentle, so wise,
Guide me now beneath these skies.
I’ll teach them not just to reach, but to feel,
To find the truth that no world can steal.
Buddha:
And as you teach, remember this,
Meditation’s gift is eternal bliss.
For in the stillness, the universe speaks,
The strength of a soul, the wisdom it seeks.
Together, Brinda, we’ll shape the day,
Where children find peace along their way.
Your mission of love, with silence combined,
Will create a world of liberated minds.
For the future rests on hands that learn,
To seek, to give, and not to yearn.
With meditation’s grace, the world will see,
A path of peace, for eternity.

This is fantastic!! The conversational tone provides a profound perspectives creating synergy in the end!
