Becoming Sudama:

Becoming Sudama: The Journey to Grace

With humble steps, Sudama tread,
To Krishna's court where riches spread.
In hand, a gift, so simple, so small,
A fistful of poha—a treasure to recall.

His heart was pure, his mind serene,
No wealth he sought, no worldly sheen.
Yet Krishna smiled, his blessings poured,
A kingdom of riches, was gifted and restored.

So too are we, with treasures unseen,
The gems of service, steady and clean.
Through Karma’s path, we sow and reap,
In silent toil, our roots run deep.

Through the glow of knowledge, we strike to know
The truth that sets the spirit aglow.
With meditation’s calm, we pave the way,
Toward liberation's eternal day.

Through Bhakti’s love, we chant and sing,
Our hearts, like bells, to the heavens ring.
In devotion’s fire, we melt and mould,
A union divine, a story retold.

For when we, too, like Sudama stand,
With nothing but offerings of heart and hand,
The Divine shall smile, with grace so vast,
And liberate us from shadows cast.

Salvation awaits, the final release,
A soul unbound, in eternal peace.
When we all become Sudama, you'll see,
The treasures of heaven flow endlessly free.
