From Aham Brahmasmi to Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma

(A Journey of the Soul)

From the Brihadaranyaka, the whisper arose:
“Aham Brahmasmi”—I am Brahman,
A soul awakening to itself,
The flame within, untouched by the storm,
A truth that sings: I am the infinite.

The body may walk, the mind may err,
But within, a light remains—eternal, pure.
Aham—“I,”
Brahmasmi—“the boundless truth.”
A realization—a droplet glimpsing the ocean it belongs to.

But the journey is not yet done.

The Chandogya speaks, its voice profound:
“Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma”—All this is Brahman.
The “I” dissolves, the boundaries fade,
The flame that burned within
Now dances in every blade of grass,
In rivers that sing, in skies that hold stars,
In laughter and tears, in shadow and light.

What once was I becomes All,
The self expands, no walls remain.
The soul sees—
The tree, the stone, the wandering bird,
The pulse of creation is one, undivided.

To know Aham Brahmasmi
Is to find the eternal within.
To live Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma
Is to see the eternal in everything.

The journey begins as self-awareness,
A spark claiming, “I am.”
It ends as love, as surrender,
A wave returning to the sea, whispering,
“All this, too, is me.”

Here, compassion flows unbidden,
For where is “other,” when all is one?
The soul no longer seeks to hold or claim—
It gives, it loves, it becomes.

From Aham to Sarvam,
From self to all,
The soul traverses its truest path.
For in knowing everything is Brahman,
The soul becomes its highest self—
Boundless, infinite, free.
