The Song of the Divine
The Song of the Divine: Gita Jayanti
On Gita Jayanti, a sacred day,
We honor the wisdom that lights our way.
The Song of the Divine, so timeless, so pure,
A beacon of truth, a guide to endure.
On Kurukshetra’s field, amid battle’s roar,
Arjuna stood trembling, his heart unsure.
With compassion and grace, Krishna did speak,
Revealing the truths all seekers seek.
Through eighteen chapters, a path unfolds,
Lessons eternal, in words so bold.
Karma Yoga calls for selfless deeds,
While Bhakti fulfils the heart’s deepest needs.
Jnana Yoga teaches the nature of the soul,
The wisdom that frees and makes us whole.
Through Dhyana, the mind finds peace serene,
Connecting within, to the unseen.
The Gita’s truths are not bound by time,
They echo eternal, in prose and rhyme.
A guide for the weary, a light for the lost,
Its teachings are priceless, beyond any cost.
Not just a book for management or gain,
Its essence is freedom from life’s fleeting pain.
A Moksha Shastra, profound and vast,
Its wisdom endures, through future and past.
So, on this day, let us reflect,
On the Gita’s message, so perfect, direct.
To live with purpose, to act with grace,
To find the Divine in every space.
In Krishna’s words, may we always see,
The path to truth, our soul’s decree.
A call to rise, to seek, to strive,
In His wisdom, may we truly thrive
