An Unbound Aspiration
An Unbound Aspiration
Oh, what narrow dreams the human heart weaves,
A wealth of gold and a ladder of gold as well,
They climb and climb, under ambition’s spell,
Their vision confined to what the world believes.
They toil, they yearn, with blinkers on tight,
Chasing shadows that vanish with night.
"More money, more power, more places to see,"
Yet their riches leave them no closer to free.
For life is not measured by coins in a chest,
Or the titles we wear, though we call them success.
It’s the warmth of connection, the joy of the small,
The boundless within the bounds that enthrall.
Why ask for so little, when life is so vast?
Why cling to the fleeting, the moments that pass?
There’s music in silence, there’s wealth in the air,
There’s joy in just knowing the heart’s quiet care.
You want the world but forget its tune,
You chase the sun but miss the moon.
The wealth you seek lies not in gold,
But in truths unspoken, in stories untold.
It’s in the laughter that echoes through pain,
In the dance of the leaves after the rain.
It’s in moments of stillness, the depths of your soul,
The places unseen that make you whole.
So pause for a moment, and widen your view,
Step beyond ambition and let life renew.
For boundless aspiration is not a curse,
When it stretches to encompass the universe.
Let your dreams grow taller, your roots grow deep,
Let wisdom awaken from where it sleeps.
Know that wealth is a life fully found,
A heart that soars, unshackled, unbound.
