When Noise Becomes Sound

When Noise Becomes Sound

In the noisy chaos of life all around,
A clash of sounds, a restless surround.
But within this jumble, if you listen well,
Lies a hidden story, a tale to tell.

The ICU hums with relentless machines,
A relentless rhythm, cold and unclean.
But for the family, hearts gripped by despair,
This noise is a lullaby, proof life is still there.

The clatter of heels in a lonely hall,
To some, an echo, a ghostly call.
But to the stranded, a whisper of kin,
Proof of a presence, a world to begin.

The storm roars fierce with a deafening sound,
Trees bend, branches snap, chaos abounds.
But for the farmer, whose fields were dry,
This thunder’s a blessing, a rain-laden sky.

The market’s din, where bargains shout,
A clash of voices, weaving in and out.
But to the vendor with dreams in their hand,
It’s the melody of life, vibrant and grand.

A baby’s wail, a sharp, shrill cry,
To strangers, noise piercing the sky.
But to the mother, weary yet true,
It’s a song of need, a bond to renew.

The train screeches as it halts with a grind,
Steel on steel, grating the mind.
Yet for the traveler, it signals relief,
A destination reached, a moment of peace.

The wind’s howl through a canyon’s stone,
A ghostly moan for one alone.
But to the climber, it’s a guide, a cue,
The spirit of nature, speaking true.

The alarm’s blare in the dead of night,
A jarring burst, a flash of fright.
Yet to the vigilant, it’s a savior’s call,
A chance to act before dangers befall.

When the universe birthed its very first tone,
It wasn’t in silence; it wasn’t alone.
The hum of creation, the echo of Om,
Turned chaos to cosmos, a celestial home.

Noise, then, is but a veil, a disguise,
Of deeper truths it often belies.
For in the ear attuned to sound,
Harmony in chaos can always be found.

So pause and listen, discern with care,
What seems like noise may be a prayer.
A heartbeat, a whisper, a distant tread—
A symphony woven, where noise once led.

  1. Wonderful! The concept of sound and silence has many shades which is brought out so well. Thanks
